Testimonials

Dawn S, Alumni of the Online 200 Hour YTT

Stephanie and the entire team at Indigo Yoga were so wonderful to learn from during my 200 hour teacher training. Thoughtful. Encouraging. Knowledgeable. The execution during these insanely crazy times via Zoom was flawless. I mean this sincerely because my stress level was actually lowered practicing with them. I’m already teaching private youth yoga and one-on-one sessions with my Essential Oils. Namaste.

Georgia M, Alumni of the Online 200 Hour YTT

Signing up for the NJYTT/Indigo Online Virtual Yoga Teacher Training, I was both nervous and anxious about how I would handle the amount of work that goes into a 200hr course load, and what my experience would be doing the training all through the computer screen. The experience was more integrative and interpersonal than I even imagined it would be. Our large group of classmates ranged in age, experience and perspective, and the remote process actually allowed us all to connect with a larger number of classmates, and share and experience more with one another than we could in a studio setting. There was no part of the experience that I left over Zoom thinking it would have better served me to be in person. All of the instructors were extremely organized and committed to developing our group into first-rate yoga teachers. I loved the experience, met so many more people in the yoga community and really felt that it was very impactful for my personal growth and development as a yogi and person.
The workload seems daunting at first, but the experience is so much fun that you are motivated to do the work to be as fully engaged as you can. But, anything you can’t fit in within the time frame of the class schedule, you have time later to complete. I am still finishing up practice teaching and workshop hours, but feel like now I have the tools to confidently complete those parts on my own to earn my certification. Indigo as a family and community is a wonderful place to be a part of. I am so proud as a local resident to be engaged with such an awesome small business run by some pretty incredible women.

AJ, Alumni of the Online 200 Hour YTT

Let me tell you something. I did have my doubts about doing a training virtually and within the first night of class I knew that I was experiencing something super special. This group of women – our beautiful teachers, and the amazing women I got to learn with – are some of the most extraordinary I’ve ever known. There was such a strong sense of community and we all helped and supported each other. You may think because it’s virtual, it’s not personal. But it was and it still is. I got to learn from people outside of my community because it was virtual. I met people I would have never met because it was virtual. It was the greatest experience of my life.
